Officially The United Mexican States commonly known as Mexico is a federal constitutional republic in North America. Mexico is the fifth-largest country in the Americas by total area and the 14th largest independent nation in the world.  Many cities throughout Mexico are popular tourist destinations for U.S. citizens.  Travelers should note that location-specific information contained below is not confined solely to those cities, but can reflect conditions throughout Mexico. The Spanish found massive silver deposits in Mexico mines were built, and the treasure was sent back to Spain. News of this lucrative new land spread quickly, and in search of personal riches, colonists arrived by the hundreds of thousands.

Cancun -

Cancun also offers activities like Golf, Ecological Parks, Fishing and Charters, Horseback Riding, Jungle Tours, Mayan Ruins, Nature Reserves, Scuba Diving, Snorkeling and Swim with Dolphins. Cancun is the most popular travel and tourism attraction of Mexico.

Mexico city-
Mexico City is the capital of Mexico. The most important industrial and cultural center of the country. It is the 2nd largest metropolitan area in the world with about 9 million inhabitants. It is also very famous for its pre-Hispanic remains of the civilizations which lived here before the 3 decade Spanish rule.

Acapulco-
Acapulco is one of the most beautiful and popular tourist attractions in the Mexican Pacific. It is also a major seaport and a popular resort for tourists taking long holiday weekends and cruises from the United States, the Mexican interior and countries in South America. Stunning beaches, exuberant natural surroundings and wonderful climate, this port has been dubbed the Pearl of the Pacific in Acapulco. The modern infrastructure has had very little impact on its original beauty or attractions. Acapulco offers an enormous range of attractions and activities.

Tijuana-
Tijuana is the largest city in the Mexican state of Baja California.  The world’s most-visited border town. There are many night clubs, including several gay clubs. You will find a lot of handicrafts, leather goods, cigars and souvenirs. Bargaining is common

Ensenada-
Ensenada is located some 120 kilometers south of the border with the United States in Baja Peninsula and often tourists go there by car. Ensenada is very famous for short cruise ship trips from the Los Angeles area. Activities include wine tasting, shopping, surfing, sea kayaking, horseback riding and mountain biking and Whale watching.

Mexican Food :

The great food and dining experiences available in the capital of Mexico are seemingly endless and there are more than enough options to fill up any traveler’s itinerary, in a sense almost no matter how long their stay is. Some of the great areas of the city to go to in order to find some of the best food are the Zona Rosa, the Polanco neighborhood, Coyoacan, and more. Mexican cuisine has some superb rich or spicy dishes, but we recommend that you take it easy for the first few days until your stomach has grown accustomed to its new environment. Their diet consisted mainly of corn, beans, peppers, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, and herbs. Chocolate, native to Mexico, was considered a drink fit for royalty.

Corn can also be boiled to produce pozole, a hearty corn stew. Popular fruits and vegetables are tomatoes, tomatillos, squash, sweet potato, avocado, mango, pineapple, and papaya. The variety of chilies includes the widely known jalapeño, as well as the poblano, serrano, and chipotle. Chilies give Mexican cooking a distinctive flavor, which is often enhanced with herbs, such as cilantro and thyme, and spices, including cumin, cinnamon, and cloves. Cheese and eggs round out the diet. Seafood is most common in coastal dishes.

Shopping in Mexico:

Mexico City shopping is truly a treat. As a major metropolitan area, travelers will find that Mexico City shopping has all of the brand names one might find in any large city. Mexico City shopping is, for the most part, concentrated in an area known as the Polanco. Along with high-end malls, travelers will also find an array of hand made crafts and local art in this area. Popular music and jewelry stores are also nearby. The best woodworkers are in Guadalajara, but furniture from the region is on sale in Mexico City, as are crafts from all other parts of the country. For large items, overseas shipping can be arranged at reasonable rates.
