Kashmir : World paradise places

Set like a jewelled crown on the map of India, Kashmir is a multi-faceted diamond, changing its hues with the seasons - always extravagantly beautiful. Two major Himalayan ranges, the Great Himalayan Range and the Pir Panjal, surround the landscape from the north and south respectively. They are the source of great rivers, which flow down into the valleys, forested with orchards and decorated by lily-laden lakes. Kashmir has four distinct seasons, each with its own peculiar character and distinctive charm. These are spring, summer, autumn and winter.

Gulmarg:The name means ‘Meadow Of Flowers’ and in the spring it’s just that, a rolling meadow dotted with countless colorful Bluebells, Daisies. Gulmarg boasts Asia’s highest and longest cable car project, the Gulmarg Gondola. The most interesting activity is skiing, SKIING in India seems an oxymoron.
Pahalgam :The Valley of Shepherds: The place gets lively during the tourist months of the summer. There is something about the pure and re-vitalizing air of Pahalgam. Perhaps dense pine and cedar forests make it oxygen rich. Limited accessibility combined with limited telecom connectivity make it an ideal getaway from the grind of daily life and professional stress.
KASHMIR HINDU PILIGRIMAGE Sonamarg :The Meadow of Gold:Sonamarg, which means ‘ meadow of gold ‘ has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. the Sindh meanders along here and abounds with trout and mahseer, snow trout can be caught in the main river.Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier a major attraction during the summer months.
Amarnathji Yatra - a journey into faith: Yatra to Baba Amarnath Holy Cave for which one has to trek a height of  about 14,500 ft  is full of thrill and joy . The  feeling  of divine which is always beneath  ones’ heart ,  burst out and one realises ‘Moksha’  as one attends  the Cave   and   perform the  prayer  before the  Shivlinga . Surrounded by beautiful valleys, mountains.

Kashmir serves the choicest selection of vegetarian and non vegetarian food in multiple flavours. A special masala ‘cake’ is made from spice-blends, onions and locally grown chilies that can be stored for longer period of time and used in flavoring curries. Sauces are made from dairy rich products. Kashmiri fare is also influenced by the mughal cooking. The fruits and nuts grown from the valley are used lavishly in daily menus.
