Beaches& Island

Pattaya beach: While most beaches rely simply on the beauty of their natural surroundings for their charm, Pattaya Beach ‘a 4km crescent-shaped sandy bay’goes all out to give visitors everything their hearts desire. As abundant as sun, sand and sea along this bustling palm-fringed stretch, are superb hotels, value-for-money shopping malls and market stalls, a huge variety of restaurants, endless sports and leisure activities, and, of course, the bars and discos that have earned it its raucous reputation. The result? Not only the perfect place to let the world pass by, but also one of the world’s most energetic beach resorts, a happening place buzzing with modern-day energy, activity and options.

Jomtien beach:  About 2km south of Pattaya Beach lies Jomtien Beach; a long, straight 6km stretch of sandy coastline that is a lot less chaotic and crowded than Pattaya. New hotels, resorts, condominiums, shops and restaurants are rising fast, but theyre more spread out and, for now at least, havent plundered Jomtiens quiet down-to-earth charm. Its much more peaceful and laidback than Pattaya Beach too. Thats partly why you find more Thais here. Native holiday-makers from Bangkok and beyond come to enjoy cool sea breezes and cheap seafood under the shade of large parasols and the pine trees which fringe the sand.

Koh lan: It is a hilly island, covered with low tropical forest. Most of Ko Lan’s beaches are on its western side. The most visited one is Tawaen Beach, where there is a small harbor. All the length of the beach is lined with small tourist shops behind which are dining halls of restaurants whose menu is based mainly on fish and seafood. Other beaches are Tonglang Beach, Tien Beach, Samae Beach and Naon Beach.

Last but not least “Thai fruits” or Thailand has got various kinds of fruit especially during summer which so fantastic you can eat all the passion fruit as much as you like such as banana, watermelon, orange and so on. Thai foods are so good for your health because it made from herb in every meal. Of course you are nearby the beaches so taste all fresh seafood.

Do’s and Don’t in Thailand:

The Monarchy : Thai people have a deep, traditional reverence for the Royal Family, and a visitor should be careful to show respect for the King, the Queen and the Royal family.
Religion : Visitors should dress neatly in all religious shrines. They should never go topless, or in shorts, hot pants or other unsuitable attire so must be wear long if you would like to go in religious places. It is acceptable to wear shoes when walking around the compound of a Buddhist temple, but not inside the chapel where the principal Buddha image is kept.

Thais don’t normally shake hands when they greet one another, but instead press the palms together in a prayer-like gesture called a wai. Generally a younger person wais an elder, who returns it.
